Alyssa is a passionate entrepreneur and digital marketer who was named one of Toronto’s hottest entrepreneurs by the Globe and Mail this year, at the age of 26.

After graduating with a business degree from a top school in Canada, Alyssa went on to consult with Bain & Company specializing in financial services and airline cases.

After two years at Bain Alyssa left to launch her own business RateHub.ca which is a website dedicated to comparing mortgage rates. RateHub.ca has seen substantial growth in its first year going live driven by partnerships obtained with large media companies in Canada.

Alyssa is a passionate member of the TEDx community and an avid kitesurfer.

Dan Larsen, Qualcomm

Dan Larsen is a Senior IT Architect at Qualcomm. Over the past 10 years his areas of expertise have grown to encompass Web infrastructure, social business and Enterprise 2.0 platforms for workforce collaboration, content and community management, enterprise search, private cloud computing platforms, and mobile enterprise applications. An early adopter of mobile and social technologies Dan has advised several startups with mobile app development, several of which debuted this year at the SXSW Interactive Festival.

Prior to joining Qualcomm Dan had founded a Web design, development and hosting company that was acquired in 2000 by MassHysteria.com.

At MassHysteria Dan led several engineering and product teams focused on the distribution of syndicated content primarily for real-time sports scoreboards, news, and play-by-play. Dan managed partnerships with AOL Sports, MyAOL/MyNetscape, NHL.com, and the NBA. His team’s SyncTV product created for the NBA’s 2000 playoff season finished 2nd place in the UCSD/CONNECT Most Innovative Awards.

Dan has a Bachelors degree in Mathematics & Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego.

In whatever free time he can find Dan is a action sports enthusiast pursuing kiteboarding, standup paddle surfing, skateboarding, and snowboarding.
